Briju Thankachan Ph.D. as Director of Curriculum and Assessment Design and Improvement, develop and manage a diverse portfolio of educational, training and advancement programs for faculty to support the professional growth of medical educators within the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine (OU-HCOM).
As a certified Quality Matters peer reviewer, Briju designed ‘online’ and ‘blended’ course for the School of Nursing at the Ohio University for more than 3 years. As an adjunct professor, he teaches ‘Instructional Design’ and ‘Technology Application in Education’ courses at the Ohio University Patton College of Education.
Briju is an active volunteer at the Association for Educational Communications and Technology (AECT) and currently serve as the president of the International Division of AECT. He is also a serve as resource person of the GSG College in India with their technology integration needs.
Research interests includes:
- Instructional Design Process
- Team Based Teaching and Learning
- Faculty concerns (stage of concern) towards technology
- Educational Technology and its impact on Indian Education
